The Old and the New

This photo taken in Adair County, Iowa contrasts old and new ways of capturing the power of the wind. The old wind mills were often used to pump water for livestock. The new ones are generating electricity. I'd estimate that the old wind mill here was about 20 feet tall. I am not sure of the height of the wind generators but they are often higher than 200 feet.
